On March 6, 2024, employees of environmental and forest institutions of the Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions underwent training courses in Shymkent on the basis of the training center of the M.Gabdullin Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On the third day of training, the students of the courses were told аbout:

1. Extinguishing forest fires (upper, lower, spotted, peat, in the mountains). Extinguishing steppe fires. Fire extinguishing and fire extinguishing;

2. General health and safety provisions. Permit to extinguish forest fires. The procedure for providing personal protective equipment (PPE). Procedure for provision of overalls and field equipment. Rest and overnight accommodation in places of fire fighting;

3. Safety requirements for the delivery of forest fire brigades. Safety procedures for fire reconnaissance, fire fighting plan development and personnel training. Safety measures during edge extinguishing. Safety of works during annealing extinguishing. Safety of works when extinguishing with fire extinguishing compounds and technical means. Organization of search and rescue and evacuation measures in the fire area;

4. Organization of first aid for diseases and injuries in fires, evacuation of victims.

On March 5, 2024, a meeting was held in the Katon-Karagai State Emergency Committee on the topic: "Results of the fire hazardous season of 2023 and tasks for the fire hazardous season of 2024," with the participation of directors of branches of the KGNPP, Emergency Situations Committee, foresters, forest protection and protection engineers.
During the meeting, issues were discussed on preparations for the fire hazardous season of 2024 and measures taken by forest owners in order to prevent and combat forest fires during the fire hazardous season.

As a result of the meeting, in preparation for the fire hazardous season, it was decided to carry out:
1. Training and briefing of forest fire services on the issues of fire-fighting arrangement of the territory and extinguishing of forest fires;
2. Formation of fire brigades;
3. Repair of fire fighting equipment, equipment and observation facilities;
4. Preventive fire prevention measures in forests located around settlements;
5. Training of the inspection staff, state security workers on the issues of ensuring the protection of forests from illegal logging, as well as the procedure for drawing up and maintaining documentation on forest violations;
6. Incineration of existing felling residues prior to the start of the fire season;
7. Conduct controlled annealing of grassy vegetation on the territory of the forest fund and adjacent territories in order to reduce fire hazard, etc.
Representatives of the Katon-Karagai Aviation Branch took part in the meeting from the enterprise of the RGKP "Kazavialesoohrana."

On March 5, 2024, employees of environmental and forest institutions of the Karaganda and Ulytau regions took training courses in Astana on the basis of the training center of the M.Gabdullin Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On the second day of training, the students of the courses were told аbout:

1. Procedure for collection, processing, transfer and storage of information. Types of operational information. Radio Rules;

2. The procedure for organizing the work of the fire extinguishing headquarters. Functional duties of the head of forest fire extinguishing, members of the operational fire extinguishing headquarters and heads of combat areas in a fire. Algorithm of interaction of services and departments in the organization of forest fire extinguishing;

3. Fire reconnaissance and preparation of initial, main and situational plans for fire extinguishing. Classification of tactical methods and techniques of fire extinguishing. The main technical methods of extinguishing forest fires.
