On May 11, 2019, a large forest fire occurred on the territory of the Naurzumsk forestry, the Naurzum GPP. The forces and means of the Kostanay Aviation Branch, Naurzum GPP, Emergency Situations Emergency Department of the Naurzum District, akimat of the Naurzum District were thrown into the fight against fire elements. Currently, measures are being taken to localize and eliminate fire. In total, 87 people and 29 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire. Approximate fire area 150 ha.

On May 11, 2019 during the air patrolling of the territory protected by the Kokshetau aviation department, a fire was discovered in the 122nd quarter of Karaultobe Forestry, Arykbalyk branch of the RSU GNPP Kokshetau. Fire services were immediately pulled to the site of the fire. Thanks to the joint efforts of the employees of the State Enterprise "Kazavialesookhrana" and the ground forest guard, the fire was successfully eliminated in a small area, and the measures taken made it possible to remove the threat of a fire going into the SFF territory. The forces and means of Borovsk and Akmola aviation departments, ground forest guard and emergency situations, as well as the local fire brigade were thrown into the fight against fire elements. Despite the strong wind and high temperatures, the fire fighting services managed to localize the fire in a small area. The localization and fire suppression involved: a helicopter, an observer pilot, and 6 people of the aviation fire service of the State Enterprise Kazavialesokhrana, 10 people of ground fire fighting services, 9 units of equipment. The fire area is 0.2 ha.
