May 21, 2019 the staff of the Bayanaul aviation branch held a preventive lecture

On May 21, 2019 a preventive lecture on fire prevention was held as part of the public awareness program among students at Toraygyr secondary school. During the lecture, students of the school were familiarized with precautions when handling fire in the territory of the State Forest Fund, actions when detecting a forest fire, rules of compliance with sanitary standards when visiting the forest. At the end of the lecture, leaflets of an agitational nature were distributed to the participants.

In the period from May 20 to 21, 2019 ground and air training of the landing and fire groups of the Almaty and Taldykorgan aviation departments took place

At the first stage of training, the personnel underwent ground training on the basis of a special derrick simulator, with the aim of thorough and comprehensive training on the ground, working out all the elements of the descent, studying various techniques and training for their implementation.

On the same day, on the basis of the Almaty Aviation Branch, an indicative fire and tactical exercise with personnel was held.

During the exercise, the capabilities of modern fire equipment, training and coordination of the work of the personnel of the aviation department in extinguishing forest fires were demonstrated.

The next day, paratroopers-firefighters made descents from a MI-8 helicopter to the ground using a special trigger device (SUR). Descents were carried out from a height of 10, 20, 30 and 40 meters. From such a height, paratrooper-firefighters have to work directly in extinguishing forest fires.

Practicing the skills of the "forest special forces" was conducted by experienced mentors - S.M. Polyakov, head of the APS and the head of the LPS Amanov A.K. General control over the course of training was carried out by Deputy General Director Mambaev Z.M.

LAUNCHING DEVICE - a device that allows people and goods to be descended to work sites from a helicopter hovering above a forest canopy or other natural object where landing of a helicopter is impossible.

It should be noted that it is not always possible to reach the area of the current forest fire by ground transportation, and when delivering forces and means by aviation, it is not possible to select a site for a safe landing. In such cases, the decision is made to land in the fire area with a helicopter.

The pilot-observer from the air selects a platform suitable for the descent of paratrooper-firemen, with a size of at least 5x5 meters between the trees' crowns.

When deciding to perform descents and choosing a place to descend, the issuer asks the commander of the helicopter "Allow me to prepare for descent". Having received the answer "Allow", he gives the command to the paratrooper-firemen "Prepare for descents" and puts on a safety belt or insuring suspension system.

Carabiner halyard or rope is secured to the power node in the helicopter. The helicopter hovers above this "well” at a height of at least 10 meters above the treetops (the height to the ground should not exceed 45 meters).

The pilot-observer opens the door and drops a particularly strong (900 kg to break) 50-meter cord, through which the paratroopers-firemen descend directly from the helicopter to the ground using a trigger roller device.

If the cord bay has dissolved and reached the ground, the issuer of SPU reports to the helicopter commander: "the bay is dropped, dissolved to the ground, allow the first to descend" and, having received the answer: "I allow", gives the command to the first: "to descent".

The first must go down the senior group, which, descending, is obliged to insure the next descending paratroopers.

Issuing after the descent of the first paratrooper-fireman reports on the SPU to the commander of the helicopter: "The first one landed, allow the second to descend." Having received permission, the second paratrooper-fireman descends, the descent is carried out similarly to the first.

After the end of the descent of the paratrooper firemen, the discharger releases the carabiner of the cord from the earring and drops the cord down. The issuer reports to the helicopter commander at SPU: "The slopes are over, the cord is reset, the door is closed."

During the training, the interaction of the commander of the helicopter, the pilot-observer and the paratroopers-firemen, the speed of descent (average - three meters per second), the correct landing and much more are tracked.

On May 18, 2019 a fire broke out at the Ridders Aviation Branch

On May 18, 2019 during the air patrolling of the territory protected by the Ridder Aviation Branch, a fire was discovered on the territory of the state reserve lands (buffer zone) adjacent to the state forest fund. There was a threat of a fire going over to the territory of the 57th quarter, Zhuravlikhinsky forest area, Ridderskoe LH KSU. To the site of fire from a helicopter, paratroopers-firefighters were disembarked to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the staff of the Ridder aviation department and the fire service team, the fire was localized on all fronts, and the threat to the state forest fund was removed. The following were involved in the localization and fire prevention: a helicopter, an observer pilot, 2 paratroopers-firemen of the Riddersky aviation department, 5 people of the state fire service, 1 fire engine. Fire area 0.5 ha.

May 18, 2019 in Akkolsky district held exercises

On May 18, 2019 fire and tactical exercises were held in Akkol District to work out joint actions of forest owners and special services units in extinguishing forest fires.

The main purpose of the exercises is the timely adoption of sufficient measures to extinguish the existing fire and prevent its development in the forests.

Before the fire and tactical exercises, an inspection was made of the preparedness of fire fighting equipment, fire extinguishing equipment and personnel.

According to the plan of the exercise, during the aviation patrols of the protected area, an observer of the Akmola Aviation Division of the State Enterprise "Kazavialesookhrana" discovered a source of forest fire with an area of 0.2 hectares.

After detecting a fire, the observer-pilot transmits information about the fire to the contact point of the forest owner. To the place of fire, from the aircraft, landing of fire-assault paratroopers with fire-fighting equipment is carried out promptly. Strong wind, high temperatures and the presence of dead wood contribute to the rapid spread of fire - the observer makes a decision to attract additional forces and means.

The forces and facilities of the Akkol Forestry Department of KSU arrive at the site of the fire. In connection with the rapid spread of the fire element, a decision is made to attract additional forces and means.

Soon, the operational headquarters of the fire fighting service of the State Enterprise "JV and ASR" Emergency Situations Department of the Akmola region, which collects, processes and analyzes data on the fire situation, takes into account and distributes forces and means, develops a fire extinguishing plan.

After some time, the conditional fire was localized in all directions, and was not allowed to spread to the adjacent forest area.

The chief of the fire fighting operational headquarters announces the elimination of the fire. According to the results of the fire and tactical exercises, a meeting of the operational headquarters was held with the involvement of the leaders of all functional groups, where the course of the exercise was reviewed and its results were summed up.

In total, more than 30 people and 7 units of special equipment were involved in the exercises.

May 16, 2019 in KSU "Taldykorgan forestry" held exercises

Fire and tactical exercises to work out the issues of interaction in the elimination of possible large-scale forest and steppe fires on the territory of the state forest fund of Almaty region were held on May 16 in the territory of Karatal forestry.

Prior to the fire and tactical exercises, an inspection was made of the preparedness of fire fighting equipment, fire extinguishing equipment and personnel.

According to the teachings legend, at 10 o'clock at 10 am, an observer pilot of the Taldykorgan air group in the territory of KSU "Taldykorgan forestry", Karatal forestry, quarter No. 13, discovered a fire.

The pilot-observer transmits information about the fire to the contact point of the forest owner and the republican dispatch service. At 10 hours and 13 minutes, the operational headquarters of the fire service "State Unitary Administration and Emergency Control Service of Emergency Situations of Almaty Region" arrives at the fire site, collecting, processing and analyzing data on the fire situation, takes into account and distributes forces and means to combat sites, develops a fire extinguishing plan.
