On August 13, 2022, specialists from the Karkaraly aviation department, together with representatives of the Karkaraly SNNP, carried out an air raid in order to identify facts of illegal logging, poaching and other violations of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the air patrol, an inspection and assessment of the forest pathological state of plantings in a protected area, inspection of places of mass visits to forests by the population, tourist routes and glades was carried out along the way. At the end of the joint work, no facts of violation of environmental legislation, foci and areas of damaged forest were revealed. In order to prevent and detect violations, this joint work will be carried out regularly on the territory of the Karkaraly SNNP.
On July 30, 2022, a fire was discovered on the territory of the 23rd and 24th quarters of the Bayanaul forestry of the Bayanaul GNPP. Employees of the ground forest guard and paratroopers-firefighters of the Barnaul aviation department were sent to the place of the fire to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread. Thanks to the coordinated actions of all services, the fire was localized and eliminated.
On August 13, 2022, as part of the program to inform the population by paratroopers-firefighters of the Pavlodar aviation department Amangeldy A.E. and Evdokimov D.D., preventive lectures were held among local residents and visitors of the Ayman store on the topic: "Compliance with fire safety rules when visiting the forest." The listeners were familiarized with precautions when handling fire in the forest, actions when detecting a forest fire, actions of a lost person in the forest, compliance with sanitary standards when visiting woodlands. Leaflets on fire prevention propaganda were also distributed.
87 forest fires have occurred in the territory served by the Borodulikhinsky aviation department, and these are the Semipalatinsk, Novo-Shulbinsky and Borodulikhinsky branches since the beginning of the fire season. The main reason for which is thunderstorm activity.
Thanks to the timely detection of forest fires from the air and operational interaction during extinguishing with ground forest protection, all fires can be eliminated in extremely small areas and prevent their spread to large, 50 or more hectares.
In total, 217 forest fires occurred on the territory of the Semey Ormany Nature Reserve on 5.08.2022. This is much more than in previous years.
Due to the increase in the cost of renting aircraft, the flight hours limit for air patrol has almost halved. In this regard, it is necessary to reduce the frequency of patrolling.
Uncontrolled visits to the forest by the local population and compliance with fire safety rules in the forest remain relevant.
