On April 15, 2019, during the air patrolling of the territory protected by the Almaty Aviation Division, a fire was discovered on the territory of the state reserve lands. Strong wind, high temperatures and the presence of dead wood contributed to the rapid spread of fire to the territory of 292 quarters of Koktal forestry, Bakanas KSU. To the site of fire, from a Bo-105 helicopter, paratrooper firemen were disembarked to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread. The forces and means of the Bakanassky KSU and the Emergency Situations Department were directed to the aid of the "forest landing force”. Thanks to the joint efforts of the staff of the State Enterprise "Kazavialesoukhrana" and the ground fire extinguishing services, the fire was localized. Currently, all necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the fire. In the localization of the fire were involved: 2 pilot-observer, 11 people of the aviation fire service of the State Enterprise "Kazavialesookhrana", 22 people of ground fire services, 4 people of Emergency Situations, 9 units of equipment. The fire area is 250 hectares (of which 13 ha SFF).
