May 31, 2019 in the Medeu branch of the Ile-Alatau State National Natural Park, special tactical exercises were conducted to extinguish fires "FIRE-2019”.

Prior to the conduct of fire and tactical exercises by the Chief of the Emergency Situations Department of Almaty, Major General of the Fire Service Aubakirov S.G. An inspection of the readiness of fire fighting equipment, fire extinguishing equipment and personnel was carried out.

According to the teachings legend, during the air patrolling of the mountain part of Zailiyskiy Alatau, at 11 hours and 20 minutes an observer pilot of the Almaty aviation department found a fire in the Ayusai gorge.

The pilot-observer of the Almaty Aviation Branch transmits information about the fire to the republican dispatching service of the State Enterprise "Kazavialesookhrana":

- "Ignition in Medeu branch, south-eastern slope of Ayusay gorge. Area 2 ha. Lit forest.

With the help of loudspeakers installed on the aircraft, the guests are notified about the created dangerous situation in which it is necessary to leave the territory of the natural boundary.

Information about the fire is transmitted to the uniform emergency dispatcher service of the Emergency Situations Department of Almaty and the central fire communication center of the Operational Control Center of the forces and facilities of SPiASR of Emergency Situations of Almaty.

Strong wind and dry weather contribute to the rapid spread of fire in the forest.

On alert, the ground guard units of the Medeu branch, Ile-Alatau SNNP, reach the site of fire. Mobile brigades of foresters penetrate to the epicenter of fire by high-passable cars, where they fight the flame with the help of backpack fire extinguishers, firecrackers and shovels.

The paratroopers-firefighters of the Almaty Aviation Branch of the State Enterprise "Kazavialesookhrana" equipped with backpack forest fire extinguishers RLA-M and blower come to the aid of representatives of the forestry. Devouring the forest, the flame quickly spreads along the mountainside and overtakes people evacuating from the emergency zone.

The Mi-8 helicopter arrives at the site of fire with water drain devices on the external sling, and makes an aimed discharge of water to the fire centers. A few minutes later, a Ka-32 helicopter equipped with a horizontal fire extinguishing system comes to the aid of the Mi-8.

With the help of the Mi-8 helicopter, rescue teams and dog trainers are delivered to the aid of the injured to search, provide first aid and evacuate them to a safe area.

At 11 hours and 45 minutes, an operational fire fighting headquarters is created at the site of the fire, which collects, processes and analyzes data on the situation in a fire, takes into account and distributes forces and means to combat sites, develops a fire extinguishing plan.

Police officers are cordoning off a localized and liquidated fire zone in order to prevent unauthorized entry into the fire zone.

The forces and facilities of the SPiASR Emergency Situations Center of Almaty, the SPiASR Emergency Situations Department of the Almaty Region, frequency converter No. 7, frequency converter No. 6, and Almaty Tazaly watering machines are involved in extinguishing fire. Fire departments arrange a massive water attack, preventing the fire from spreading further.

Rescuers of the rescue service of Almaty found two victims who are transported to the brigade of the center of disaster medicine for first aid.

At 12 hours and 30 minutes, the existing edge of the fire was stopped at all sites, and work was under way to localize and extinguish individual fires. At 1 pm, conditional foci are located in all directions.

Announced the collection of additional formations in the camp. The chief of the fire fighting operational headquarters announces the elimination of the fire.

In total, the exercise involved more than 120 people, more than 20 units of special equipment, 3 helicopters, 1 aircraft.

According to the organizers of the exercise, these activities are carried out to work out the skills of extinguishing forest fires in conditions as close to real as possible, outflowing all the nuances that may arise during the liquidation of a real fire, interaction of all operational services and ensuring fire safety.
