Fire and tactical exercises to work out the issues of interaction in the elimination of possible large-scale forest and steppe fires on the territory of the state forest fund of Almaty region were held on May 16 in the territory of Karatal forestry.
Prior to the fire and tactical exercises, an inspection was made of the preparedness of fire fighting equipment, fire extinguishing equipment and personnel.
According to the teachings legend, at 10 o'clock at 10 am, an observer pilot of the Taldykorgan air group in the territory of KSU "Taldykorgan forestry", Karatal forestry, quarter No. 13, discovered a fire.
The pilot-observer transmits information about the fire to the contact point of the forest owner and the republican dispatch service. To the place of fire, from the aircraft, landing of paratroopers-firemen with fire extinguishing equipment is carried out. The paratrooper firefighters promptly start extinguishing the south-western part of the fire. At 10 hours 02 minutes from the dispatcher of the Republican dispatch service receives a message about the fire at the central point of fire communications of the Almaty region.
The forces and facilities of Taldykorgan Forestry come to the site of the fire. In connection with the rapid spread of the fire element, a decision is made to attract additional forces and means.
At 10 hours and 13 minutes, the operational headquarters of the fire service "State Unitary Administration and Emergency Control Service of Emergency Situations of Almaty Region" arrives at the fire site, collecting, processing and analyzing data on the fire situation, takes into account and distributes forces and means to combat sites, develops a fire extinguishing plan.
To the aid of firefighters come the forces of the frequency converter No. 22, the frequency converter No. 21, the SSC No. 1 of Taldykorgan. The duty team of the disaster medicine center and the emergency medical team organize the work of the medical aid station.
Additionally, voluntary fire departments of the Yerkinsky and Otenay rural districts arrive at the scene of the fire. A tractor with a plow begins to plow through the fire.
At 10 hours and 50 minutes, a conditional fire was localized in all directions, and it was not allowed to spread to the adjacent forest.
At 11:00, the chief of the fire fighting operations headquarters announces the elimination of the fire. According to the results of the fire and tactical exercises, a meeting of the operational headquarters was held with the involvement of the leaders of all functional groups, where the course of the exercise was reviewed and its results were summed up.
In total, 50 people and 11 units of special equipment were involved in the exercises.
